A new duo is making waves in the P-pop scene. Composed of Gab and Yen, the rising duo, GY, is gaining strong momentum after both “Pamasahe” and “Pocket Watcher” landed on the iTunes Philippines charts. This duo is making it clear that their arrival is not just a moment; it is a statement.

Years in the Making

GY’s story goes way back. Gab and Yen began training under SBTalent Camp in 2019 and eventually debuted as part of the P-pop group PLUUS in 2023. When the group entered a quiet period, Gab and Yen saw an opening. Instead of waiting, they created something new.

GY became their way forward, carrying everything they learned into a more focused and personal chapter. Inspired by icons like Kendrick Lamar, Gloc-9, and Loonie, their sound fuses modern pop appeal with lyrics that feel grounded and aware.

Two Songs, One Strong Start

GY officially debuted with “Pamasahe” on February 13, 2026, and it did not take long for listeners to take notice. The track surged to No. 2 on the iTunes Philippines Top Songs chart, an impressive feat for a first release. Momentum carried straight into their next drop. “Pocket Watcher”, released on February 20, 2026, also entered the iTunes PH charts.

On the same day “Pocket Watcher” dropped, GY performed on the Wish Bus at the Marikina Sports Complex. The performance gave fans a raw look at how their songs translate live. It was a reminder that GY is built for both streams and stages.

The Start of Something Solid

With early chart success, growing buzz, and a clear creative direction, GY is setting its foundation carefully and confidently. If this is how they are starting, the next chapters are going to be worth sticking around for.
