Early Life
Born and raised in Las Piñas, Josh was brought up by a single mother and grew up without meeting his biological father. He and his sister faced numerous hardships, including financial instability and domestic abuse from a nanny, which shaped his resilient character. Due to these challenges, he graduated high school later than usual and worked early on as a computer technician and call center agent to help support his family. Despite these struggles, Josh found solace and self-expression in music and performance.

Auditioned for ShowBT Philippines in 2016 and was chosen to be part of the 5-member lineup that would become SB19.
Trained rigorously under the Korean idol system with daily voice, dance, and personality development classes, alongside body conditioning.

Drew musical influence from hip-hop artists like Loonie, Gloc-9, Shanti Dope, and Smugglaz, as well as K-pop icons like G-Dragon (BigBang) and BTS.

Debuted with the single “Tilaluha,” followed by their breakthrough hit “Go Up” in 2019, which gained viral attention and saved the group from disbandment.
