YARA is back with a new song, Sabi Ko Na, which talks about being gullible in love and heartbreak. Released on April 2, 2025 under Sony Music Entertainment, the song blends Y2K nostalgia with modern hip-hop and R&B.

Music and Visuals to Watch Out For

Along with the song, YARA also released a lyric video on their official YouTube channel on the same day. If that’s not enough, a full music video is set to drop on April 11, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Fans can expect visuals that complement the song’s storytelling.

Who is YARA?

YARA, which means butterfly in Arabic, is a four-member girl group and the first-ever Grand Winner of PoPinoy, a Filipino reality-survival show. Formed by ShowBT Entertainment, they trained until 2018 before officially debuting on March 10, 2023, with their first single, ADDA. The group consists of Gelou, Rocher, Christa, and Kim.

Bringing Emotions to the Music

Sabi Ko Na is all about expressing raw emotions without fancy words or hidden meanings. The song captures the difficult feelings that come with believing someone wouldn’t turn out the way others said they would, only to be proven right, and experiencing betrayal.

During the recording process, the group was deeply engaged, taking in the energy and passion of the production team. They found themselves inspired by the guidance they received and focused on delivering a performance that truly reflected the song’s emotions.

YARA’s Growth as Artists

With this new single, YARA continues to carve out their place in the P-pop scene. They’re proving that they’re not afraid to explore different sounds while staying true to what makes them unique. The blend of throwback and modern styles shows how much they’ve grown as artists, and their fans can definitely expect more exciting music from them.
